ELIGIBILITY FOR EXAMINATION

To become a member of the Institute of the Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan, a person has to pass the final exam conducted by the Institute twice in a year. A person who have passed the graduation examination of a university recognize by University Grant Commission or any other qualification deemed as equivalent thereto by the Council of the Institute is eligible for admission to the examination.

However on the basis of some qualifications and membership of other professional institutes the "Exemptions from Individual Paper(s) " are also available.

 

REGISTRATION AS A STUDENT

The examination is conducted twice a year in Winter and Summer. The registration for examination is open throughout the year. The candidates registered up to and including the month of June in a year are eligible for appearing in examination held in Summer of the year and those registered up to and including the month of December are eligible to appear in the examination held in Winter of next year.

 

REGISTRATION PERIOD AND TIME LIMIT FOR EXAMINATION

A candidate is registered for a period of Six years from the month in which his application, is accepted for registration as student. A registered student is required to pass the final examination within the registration period of five years. A candidate who is a graduate and is not less than 18 years of age may apply for registration as a student by submitting an application Form. The registration from as a student may be obtained from the office of the Institute or may be download from the web site (Please download our complete prospectus which contains the from of registration).

The application for registration as student should be accompanied by attested copies of SSC and HSC certificates + graduation transcripts and certificates in support of educational qualifications, a copy of valid CNIC, 8 recent passport size photographs and a pay order, bank draft amounting to Rs. 1,800/= being the payment of registration fees as student. The minimum amount payable along with the application for registration is Rs. 1800/= consisting of Rs. 1000/= towards registration fee, Rs. 500/= towards annual subscription, Rs. 100/- towards students I.D.Card and Rs. 200/- towards postal charges. Exemption fees and examination fees are per subject which required to be submitted as per existing fee schedule. The fee may also be remitted by way of demand draft / pay order / online / internet transfer /ATM transfer / debit card or credit card in favor of the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan. Karachi. The above fees may also be deposited in cash at Karachi office. The examination of the Institute are currently being held at Karachi. Lahore and Islamabad, simultaneously.
